Black Flag and Minor Threat are definitely on my favorite bands list, though they are not at the top.
I was in the store looking for Rise Against's first two albums but could only find their latest three (which I already have). So I asked someone who worked there, and he said no. I walked away with a sad face, but halfway out of the shop the image of Alec MacKaye caught my eye. And not 10 seconds later was I standing at the counter with a huge smile on my face and holding two albums in my hand.

I don't really care anymore what people think is punk and whatnot. If you think Green Day is as punk as punk can be, go ahead. Just when people start to doubt bands like Minor Threat, or indeed calling themselves punks without even knowing who Minor Threat is...
