Big important radio show this afternoon
this is straight from the email
I just sent out:
Hello! if you are reading this, odds are you are not at The Fest. at 3:50
this afternoon I am playing fest bands on my radio show at close to the same
times these bands would be playing at the fest.
this is the schedule so far, these are the bands I would be seeing if I were
at fest today:
3:50-4:20 Mixtapes (I will be playing Maps & Companions in it's entirety)
4:20-4:50 requests
4:50-5:20 RVIVR (Or until I run out of their music)
5:20-5:30 requests
5:30-6:00 The Wild
6:00-6:30 Iron Chic (they actually play from 5:40 to 6:10, I would have to
miss them at real fest)
6:30-7:00 Bomb The Music Industry (they actually play from 12:50AM to
1:20AM, but I need to fill this space in my show.)
7:00-7:30 Defiance Ohio
7:30-7:40 requests
7:40-8:10 Menzingers
exact times are subject to change, depending on how long I can stretch in
the places that there are requests.
You can start sending in requests now, they don't have to be fest bands, but
it would be nice. Tell lots of people about this, I have put more thought
into this radio show than any show I have ever done before. My internet is
fixed, so there should be no random stoppages.
Then again, it may not even happen try to come anyway.
send requests to:
floydatha@gmail.com
the show is at:

That is all

I think my internet is fixed now.
A few months ago the internet provider in this area sent my great aunt a DSL Modem. she has no computer and has no idea how to use one, so I kept the modem for myself. I installed it here today and my internet seems to be a lot more stable now. the fact that I had to install software on my computer to use it and jump through a bunch of hoops on the ISP's website to use the modem is a bit unsettling, if they can redirect my internet to their website any time they want to, it makes me wonder if they can see what I am doing here. anyway, everything seems to be in fine working order, and according to an internet speed test, it is slightly faster. The new modem does not seem to have any new features, and the download speed is still only 3 mbps, even though the modem is called the "gigaset" I can still enable port forwarding and disable the firewall, so that is all that matters.

Sorry about that...
My internet was out again, and I turned the IP update client off while I was trying to fix it. I have been able to access my website, but you would not have been able to. I have fixed it now.

Floyd's random thoughts
Non-Strike Anywhere music roundup
Yes, since there has been no real Strike Anywhere news of late, I am talking about other music, so sue me. IT'S MY WEBSITE, I DO WHAT I WANT.
Anyway... yesterday a new song by The Wild surfaced, in support of Occupy Atlanta.
Listen to it:
Scroll down to the bottom of http://asianmanrecords.com/ to download or donate.
Also... The Max Levine Ensemble made a video for their song Big Problems USA.
Watch it:

That is all.
Oh, and I figured out why my internet has been shit, robots trying to log on to the never used FTP server, so there is no FTP server anymore.

Floyd's random thoughts
Well... It's October now.
I have not posted much here, because nothing has happened. I went to 2 shows last month, one with Theo Hilton, D-Flo, Places to Hide, and a band I had never heard of called the Hail Seizures, they were awesome, the other was the night before last, it was a super last minute show with The Wild at Wonderroot. Last night I saw Andrew Jackson Jihad at the Masquerade. It kind of sucked except for AJJ. I am never going to the Masquerade again if I can help it. Anyway... I have not posed here in over a month, so I figured it was time to let all you nonexistent readers know I am not dead. I finished watching Star Trek: Voyager today, now I can say with 100% certainty I have see every episode of every star trek ever. I don't know what to do with my life now. There is a ton of shows coming up this month, in the unlikely event someone reads this, and you can come to one of these shows, you should come hang out with me, I have found that I quite enjoy talking to people.
